Alison Doody

Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland, is a model and actor. Alison Doody made her feature film debut as the Bond model on the set of A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she starred as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. She played Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Other roles include Siobhan Donavan as Charlotte in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Approached by a photographer Doody decided to take up modeling, which turned into an industry-related career in modelling. Doody stringently avoided glamour and nude work a clause which she extended to her acting career. Having come to the attention of the director who cast an upcoming James Bond film she accepted an unimportant role as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody was listed as a part of John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3 as being one of the 12 top actors from 1986. 38. Still only 18 as she played the role Doody was and is one of the smallest Bond girl that has ever appeared. A Prayer for the Dying which starred Mickey Rourke in 1987, was another early film where Doody portrayed IRA Siobhan. Doody appeared as Archibald Craven in his dreams in the 1987 TV version from The Secret Garden. She also played Lilias. Her first lead role was in the 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller in the role of Sapsorrow opposite John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. The first time she appeared was in the film Taffin alongside Pierce Brosnan. Next, she portrayed Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian archaeologist, Nazi-sympathizer, and antagonist to Harrison Ford. Doody acted alongside Sean Connery, who played Indy's father. Doody has co-starred alongside Jonathan Pryce, in the British miniseries Selling Hitler. The series was in part inspired by the Hitler Diaries publishing scam. Doody later moved to Hollywood. She went on as Flannery her agent as well as her girlfriend for Major League II. She was chosen to be an alternative to Cybill Shepherd, who was once L'Oreal's spokeswoman. Doody returned to acting in 2003, playing a small role in her role in the British comedy film The Actors, in which Michael Caine played herself at an awards show. in 2004, Doody appeared with Patrick Swayze alongside a TV adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. Also, she appeared as a character in Benjamin's Struggle (2005), which was a pamphlet that described the Holocaust. Doody appeared on Danny Dyer 2010's The Rapture. Later, she guest-starred in RTE's Medical thriller The Clinic. She was scheduled to also play the lead role in the remake of the classic horror film The Asphyx. However, that project eventually stalled. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. She was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way in 2014, a documentary. She received the Almeria tierra de cinema award on November 21, 2018.
