Lil Tecca
Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe was born on
August 26 2002. He is known as Lil Tecca. His single from 2019
"Ransom" was his breakthrough hit. It peaked at number 4 on the
Billboard Hot 100. The song was part of his first mixtape "We Love You Tecca"
(2019) that peaked at the top spot on the US Billboard 200. The mixtape also
contained singles Love Me and Did It Again. The album he released as his debut
studio album titled Virgo (2020) which debuted at Number 10 on the Billboard
200. It also featured the Billboard Hot 100-charting singles "Dolly"
and "When You Down". The second mixtape he released, We Love You
Tecca 2 was released in August 2021. It included the songs "Repeat
It", "Lot of Me" as well as others. Tyler-Justin Anthony Sharpe,
a Jamaican immigrant, was born in Queens on August 26, 2002. Sharpe was born in
Queens' Springfield Gardens, after which he moved to Cedarhurst on Long Island.
At a young age, Sharpe had aspirations of being a part of the NBA however,
after 12 years old Sharpe began to turn his attention to pursuing a career in
music. He graduated from Lawrence High School. Tecca was just nine years old
age when he began to rap over his Xbox. The two would sometimes create diss
tracks on each other. One of them was uploaded on SoundCloud in the past, but
the track has since been deleted. In the early years of his life in high
school, he had no plans to make music a profession and instead envisioned
becoming an NBA star. But, during his middle school years he lost interest in
basketball and considered taking the music seriously. His first single,
"Tectri", which gained some popularity in the early 2017 was produced
with Lil Gummybear and released in collaboration. Lil Gummybear. The artist
also dropped "Callin" which was another one of his early tracks. The
following year his career was beginning to flourish with his breakout hit
single "Ransom" and was originally released on Cole Bennett's Lyrical
Lemonade YouTube channel on May 22nd the 22nd of May, 2019. The song climbed to
number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. It has been a hit with more than 90
million Spotify plays and over 300,000,000 YouTube views.
