Evan Rachel Wood
Evan Rachel Wood was born in Raleigh,
North Carolina, on the 7th of September, 1987. Her father, Ira David Wood III
(a actor in the theatre as well as writer and director) is her father. Sara
Wood Wood is her mother, as well as an actress. Her older brothers are Dana
Wood, a musician, and Ira David Wood IV, who also has acted. Evan and her
brothers occasionally appeared in the Theatre In The Park in Raleigh where her
father established and where he serves as executive director. At the age five
she was screened against Kirsten Dunst for the lead part in Interview with the
Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994) after a long auditioning process. In the
year 1996, she relocated to Los Angeles along with her brother Ira and mother.

youngest actress to be nominated for the Leading Role category. For her
performance in Veda Pierce, in the HBO mini-series Mildred Pierce (2011) which
she starred in, she was awarded an Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. Her
performance also garnered acclaim due to her impressive performance as
Stephanie the estranged Mickey Rourke's daughter, in the Darren Aronofsky film
The Wrestler (2008). She is the daughter of Sara Wood and Ira David Wood III.
Little sister of Ira David Wood IV and Dana Wood. She is a trained dancer. She
is a lover of dancing and sing, as well as rollblade and ride horses. She is
the black belt for tae the kwon-do. She's been in contact for the majority of
her time in Once and Again (1999) and castmates: Mischa Barrton, Julia Whelan
and Shane West.
