Emma Stone
Emily Jean "Emma" Stone was
born on the 6th of November 1988 in Scottsdale, Arizona to Krista Jean Stone
(nee Yeager), a homemaker , and Jeffrey Charles "Jeff" Stone who was
a founding partner of a company that contracts and CEO. Stone is of Swedish, German
& British Isles descent. Stone started acting in her youth as an Valley
Youth Theatre member in Phoenix, Arizona. She first appeared on stage in the
play of Kenneth Grahame "The Wind in the Willows." Through her teens,
she was in a variety of other shows until she decided to make acting her
career. The official narrative is that she created a PowerPoint presentation,
which was backed by Madonna's "Hollywood" and later titled
"Project Hollywood", in attempts to persuade parents to allow her to
leave school and relocate to Los Angeles. After the pitch was accepted, she and
her mother moved to LA. She continued to study at home and was able to
audition. Her TV debut came when she was chosen to play Laurie Partridge on the
VH1 reality/talent show In Search of the Partridge Family (2004). The show led
to a variety of minor TV parts over the years. After a number of performances
she was then able to play Jules in Superbad (2007). Her fame as Olive was a
highlight of her role in Easy A (2010) followed by several more roles. She
attended Xavier College Preparatory, Phoenix, Arizona. Although she is known
for her red hair, her actual color is blonde. It was Judd Apatow who suggested
she switch her hair color to Superbad (2007) and she loved it so much that she
decided to keep the color. She persuaded her parents to let her move to
Hollywood when she was age fifteen by creating the PowerPoint presentation that
was appropriately titled Project Hollywood. She began acting when she was 11
years old and was a part of Phoenix's Valley Youth Theatre. Here she appeared
on 16 stages as well as performed in the theatre's comedy improv group. Caylee
Cowan also appeared at the Valley Youth Theatre.
